Random Pics

I just thought I would post some pictures of my kids from the last month. My kids are at such a fun age and they truly make my life better in every possible way. I can't imagine what my life would be like without them.

The last couple of weeks they have decided that they like to play in my bathtub. It is so funny to listen to them play. One day they were in a cave and a scary monster was after them, and another day they were in a spaceship. They have great imaginations.

Here is Austyn outside shoveling the patio, just like his dad.

We made it through another Christmas!

Well another Christmas has come and gone. I swear every year it comes faster and faster, and every year I say I will get my shopping done early. Well needless to say I didn't get my shopping done early, I was one of those crazy people at the stores on Christmas Eve.
The festivities started off by going to my dads on Christmas Eve and having dinner. It was a quick dinner because everybody had other family they had to go see. Then we went home and the kids got to open one present, which is always pj's, and then they were off to bed so that Santa could come.
Christmas morning the kids woke up and Austyn kind of remembered that Santa came, but I think he thought Santa would actually be there when he woke up. Austyn got a Harley Davidson motorized bike from Santa and was so excited to ride it, until he got on it and it was in reverse and it went backwards and freeked him out. Jasmyn got a Tinkerbell kitchen and has been cooking ever since. That was pretty much our day, we didn't dare leave the house to visit friends and family, because it snowed so much.

Overall it was a fun and relaxing Christmas. I guess I better get started on my shopping for next year, so I don't wait till the last minute.

Tis the season

Last weekend we had a bit of an early Christmas. My mom and my sisters came down for the day and we made Christmas treats and had lunch together. Since my mom lives in Idaho, and we probably wouldn't see her before Christmas, she had presents for the kids to open.

Sunday night we had the Karren family Christmas party at my Uncle Kent and Aunt Trudy's house. This year was a lot calmer than past years, but it was still a lot of fun to get together.

Count your blessings

With Thanksgiving this week I decided that I would take a minute and think about all the things that I am thankful for.
My husband, he is such a hard worker and he does such a great job taking care of me and the kids.
My kids are my world and make waking up everyday bearable.
Our friends are our family and we love them and appreciate everything they do for us.
I'm thankful that I live in the U.S and have all the freedoms that I sometimes take for granted.
I'm thankful that Dre has a job during these rough economic times.
I am thankful for so many things in my life but those are just a few. Happy Thanksgiving!

Halloween

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Not just because I like to get dressed up but I also love the change in weather and all the fall activities. Last year I went to Gardners Village with my kids, my aunt and cousin. It was a fun fall day to get the kids out of the house so I decided that I would make it a tradition and go every year for the witch fest.
I took the kids, and I now watch a friends daughter, so the 4 of us headed off to Gardners Village. Let me tell you it was a lot of work with 3 little kids by myself, maybe next year I will have to bring another adult with me.

Lake Powell

I know it's been awhile but last month me and Dre along with some of our friends went to Lake Powell. I had so much fun relaxing and not having to worry about anything, but after 5 days, I missed my kids and I was ready to go home.
